Some learners asked me "Why do people learn English? ". It is really a good question for global English learners who are interested in communicating English with people from a number of countries. So, let's look at why learning English is so important
in today's world. The following are just a few of the great reasons that you should learn the English language.
Reason #1 –
Access to Huge Amounts of Knowledge
– So, what exactly are you interested in? Are you interest in music, computers, science, media, sports, business, or perhaps computers? No matter what you are interested in, with today’s technological advancements and the rise of the internet you can find access to huge amounts of knowledge on just about any subject. We truly live in an age of information; however, most of the knowledge available is written in English. Most of the websites on the Web are in English, many books are written in English, a variety of media, including press and news reports are in English as well. Also, the language of Science is English, so to get more information on Science you’ll need to know English as well.- Reason #2 –
Communication
– Many people consider the English language to be the language of communication, since many people across the world use it to communicate. There are more than 1.5 billion people across the world that speak the English language and 1 billion people are working on learning the language right now. More than 75% of postcards and letters are actually written in English as well. Politicians and Diplomats use English and conferences and competitions that are held internationally all use the English language as well.Reason #3 –
Enhance Your Career
– If you are looking for a good job in any area, you should begin learning English. Even if you already have a good job, you may want to start learning so you don’t lose the job. English can help you become more marketable as an employee and you’ll be able to learn more about business as well as higher technology as well.- Reason #4 –

– Last of all, another great reason to learn English is that it can bring you great personal satisfaction too. As you make progress and learn more and more English you will feel great about yourself.
