Find A Great New English Learning Activity

An English learning activity could be to write a simple sentence, or to complete a complex crossword puzzle, with lots and lots in between. In fact, there are so many activities you might choose from that you can choose just the ones you enjoy and still learn lots and lots of English in the process!

Here are some of my favorite sites where you can pick up a fun learning activity.

Listen to Radio Broadcasts - Dozens of English language radio broadcasts that you can pick up on your computer. There's no need for special equipment or radios. Just get a set of speakers, or a headset with earphones, and you can listen to English from nearly anywhere in the world for free.

Read an Article - The Voice of America has a great library of interesting articles for English learners. These articles are written in excellent English, but use vocabulary and syntax that helps those learning the language to expand on their knowledge. An excellent learning English activity for a quiet evening.

Play a Game - Try a Spelling Bee or Word Hunter game. There are lots to choose from. Most of these games are ones that you can do on your own, anytime, any where. Find a few that you enjoy, then get some English language practice.

Do Crossword Puzzles - These crossword puzzles were designed especially as a fun learning activity. There are crossword puzzles for every level, from very beginning to quite advanced. Dozens and dozens to choose from.

Review English Nouns or Verbs - Pick up some new words, and popular ones at that. Make a set of flashcards for yourself, and see how quickly you can learn a new set of words.
